I read a bit about another thread commenting on Asus's poor general laptop build quality. However not many people commented on the G1/G2 build quality because I imagine they were casual or business users.

How do all of you feel about the build quality of the G1/G2 series versus other notebooks in the same or less price range (ie. dells, lenovos, hp etc.).

    Thanks!

Mine still looks like new after 1 yr minus the scratches on the shiny lid, I think in general Asus notebooks have very good build quality.

My speakers died after half a year. Otherwise, everything all good.

Had my G1 for over 1 year now. Aside from some minor software issues from the beginning, I've got no complaints. Nothing has failed, or broken.

where you insert sd cards on my g1s even though it clicks in i can still just pull it out

other than that i find my g1 to be solid and a nice feel to it
