    Asus G1 Idle CPU/HDD Temperature

    I just had a bunch of errors with my G1 (Thunderbird "forgot" where my email was, Firefox had a lot of halting while typing, power4gear gave errors and shut down, etc). I thought I had it fixed mostly (chkdsk + reinstalling programs), but this morning all sorts of programs starting giving errors again. I finally gave up and re-installed XP from the ghost image (and deleted bloatware).

    So far everything seems stable except that my fan is on low all the time, and I can't remember if it was always like that or not. I'd like to get a few idle temps from other G1 owners and whether your fans are always on low.

    My G1: original XP MCE version

    My CPU: 47 50 (each core according to CoreTemp)

    CPU 55
    GPU 59
    HDD 50

    Those temperatures appear to be normal except the HDD, at 50c its a little high.

    Those look fine to me. Temperature doesn't affect hard drives much unless it's some insane number.

    My temps are about the same as yours. So I think that is normal. So your most likely fine like everyone has said.
