    Asus G1 Kubuntu + wireless = console?

    I was just wondering if anyone else is having problems getting on wireless when using kubuntu. I can only do it by using the console. I have to use ifdown eth1 then ifup eth1. Another thing I don't like is that there is no laptop mode like there was on other versions.

    Which kubuntu version are you using? 6.10? I assume that you also have the intel 3945 wireless card. There's an issue where ubuntu or kubuntu 6.10 will not properly detect the intel 3945. The LTS 6.06 works fine though
