I purchased the asus g1 when it first came out, and I've been very pleased ever since then.

My problem is with power saving. I have uninstalled power4gear, and yet when I'm in battery mode FPS and performance drops pretty significantly. I would like to be at full performance even when in battery mode, so is there anything I can do to increase performance in battery mode?

I've noticed under My Computer > Properties, when in AC mode processor is at full speed, in battery mode nearly half of that speed. What is causing and controlling this? I would love to turn it off.

click your batt. icon in the system tray, and hit power4gear extreme. Here you'll be able to set your CPU throttling in each mode. Dont forget to hit save after each change.

But be warned. your GPU MIGHT still throttle when in batt. mode due to nvidia's powermizer.

There is a bug with the G1S-A1s that when your battery is less than 90% when the AC adapter is plugged in and charging your CPU will run at half speed

If you are running XP, right click on your desktop, properties, look around for the Nvidia control panel, you should be able to find the Powermizer settings. If you are running Vista.....no idea. I am currently running both OS's and I have tried to find the Powermizer in Vista but it seems to have been removed or hidden somewhere. I guess running the high power plan in Vista will keep the GPU at full power. Not sure though.
