Is it worth it now purchasing the Asus G1, for $1800 U.S.D? OR should i wait after Christmas and the price will drop? (How much should it drop if so)?

Right now in my opinion the G1 is already a steal for what your getting, but since we don't have an exact ETA on when it will be released it would be hard to say when of if the G1 will go down in price.

One of the ways it MAY go down in price is if a reseller is offering a deal, since ASUS will not be giving out rebates this soon, you will have to wait 6-8 months before ASUS gives out rebates, if they plan to.

ASUS never drops prices for their ENSEMBLE models unless they think its too expensive(when it doesn't sell basically). Instead of price drops when processors price drops, etc. they increase the specs, CPU, RAM, HD, to reflect on the market prices.

Prices will remain the same after chrismas. You may see a price reduction during tax return season

No, it hasn't shipped yet. I think Newegg is most likely taking pre-orders, as MilestonePC.com is also doing.

oh ya the g1 is already here. The first shipment already mailed. Not an unknown on the first shipment. I think it said it was here monday so this is already 6 days later.

Youre already signing up for the next shipment next week if youre signing up for something.

I think there should be a guideline on how asus markets these things for newbie shoppers.... I was really lucky in that I actually saw how it usually went down a few months ago when I was trying to buy an a8jm

Some of the info the dealers post is for their own specific goals and situation you have to realize that recognize it and take it for what it is.

newegg will take a preorder for something like 2 days before they get them though but they dont oversell they are a real retailer.

And if they have it its online if not its not.
