I have a problem with the volume controls.. if I press them, I get this pie that shows the volume, problem is that for the 2-3sec that its on any key I press minimize what ever game is active at the moment, which is extremely annoying during online games, anyway to get rid of that pie? or at least make it so that it wouldn't minimize games? I tried searching all over the net couldn't find anything.. thanks!!

Open up task manager and kill off something like AtkOSD2.exe. Leave ATKOSD.exe.

Now either go to the Control Panel and uninstall ATKOSD2 for good or go to msconfig (type in "msconfig" w/o quotes into the start menu and hit enter) and go to the startup tab, and find ATKOSD2.exe and uncheck it.

Killing ATKOSD2 gets rid of the ripple-effects, and leaves you with a much cleaner notification in the top corner. If this still interferes with your stuff, I suppose you can try killing off ATKOSD.exe as well and see if that does anything. In my experience, ATKOSD2 would minimize my game iff I clicked while the ripples were playing (which, you know, is often when you're playing fps's).

While you're at it, you can also disable/kill Dmedia.exe. This just opens your media player if it isn't already running when you hit a media key such as pause/play/next track etc.

Hope this helps! Any confusion, let me know.

EDIT: If you can't find ATKOSD2, try HControlUser2 instead. Same idea, just make sure there's a 2 there.
