Im having issues with the Direct console...which controls the OLED on the G1. Everytime i get mail, it crashes over and over again.

Its v1.2 and havent been able to find any info on it.

Anyone know whats going on with this?

    Any help will be appreciated....

I don't have the G1 so I can only offer "blind" suggestions; did you try to remove and reinstall the console? Is there an updated version on support.asus.com? If so use the updated one.

It should be on the drivers & utilities disk, as well, I think.

I don't really have a solution besides reinstalling Windows and even then I don't know how long it'll last. ASUS utils are buggy. Did you check the G1S OLED control with LCDHype? The thread is linked from the InfoBooth. You can do a lot more stuff with your OLED than with Direct Console, using that program.

i just dont understand, why the hell Asus would even put this on there knowing it was a problem. Ive removed and reinstalled it 3 times and it still crashes...

    WTF is going on ....

Try DirectConsole 0.9, but I would also give you advice to get rid of Asus DirectConsole and use LCDHype solution (my signature link or Asus Info Booth)

thanks for the help EBE, installed LCDhype and it works great.

I havent seen that many scripts for it, am i missing something?

I saw the forums with the 2 mega packs though. I have the Asus GI Megapack installed now. I had to tweak the Network script a bit to get it working.
