I have an Asus G1 for about a year now, and lately often after I close the lid, when I open it the laptop freezes and nothing but shutting it down helps, its not even on sleep on anything, it's set to "do nothing" when I close lid, anyone has an idea on how to fix this? quite annoying.

Why don't you set it to sleep when you close the lid then, and see if that helps. There isn't really much difference between it going to sleep when you close the lid and it being left on, as when you use it again it won't take much longer for it to wake back up.

So you mean it freezes. Does the cursor move, does the screen go black? What happens?

It's most likely a driver issue. Saadon, what graphics driver are you using?

I agree with you, CZX58 Shadow. Most notebooks nowadays should be able to wake up from sleep in less than two seconds, so making the computer automatically enter sleep mode when the display lid is closed is a good idea. Personally for me, I disabled sleep on lid close as my notebook has a high angle for the sleep trigger of about 20 degrees from the closed position.
