Unfortunately, my G1 didn't come with the nice backpack everyone else seemed to receive (damn BestBuy!). I was hoping to get a simple slipskin/sleeve for use in my backpack, but I can't seem to find one that is the right size. Has anyone had any luck finding something similar to this that will work with the G1? I'm hesitant to buy a larger size (for, say, 17"), in case my laptop bangs around inside...

I was hoping for something similar to this:
    http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=7424325&st=TBS005US&type=product&id=1124431844947

But I'll take any suggestions at this point. :(

You know, at one point, Best Buy had a lottery/raffle thing with a G1S bag giveaway :p What a way to do business eh? Give away bags to people who might not even have a G1S, and not give them to people who actually buy the laptop :p

Try tombihn, brenthaven. The g1s backpack is actually made by Targus, so you can check them out too.

I've heard that sleeves with metal zippers can sometimes scratch your laptop. So just be careful when choosing.

well, if you are going to be using a regular bag, i would suggest getting a case with more padding to it. something like the waterfield sleevecase or the tom bihn braincell seem like good choices.

I'm also looking for a vertical sleeve for my G1. It's going inside a large backpack for overseas traveling. I checked both of your suggestions ejl, but neither of those come in a vertical format. I do like the brain cell for it's hard sided protection. Anyone have any other suggestions?
