Hi there. I installed XP on my beloved G1S (T7300) and have a weird Issue.
Till now I could only run CSS and Testdrive Unlimited and both have a "pumping"-Issue...

Playing CSS you hardly notice it but in Testdrive it is really bugging me.
To see what I mean - here a Video shot with my Canon Cam @60fps...

Could anyone tell me what could have possibly gone wrong here?
Settings are 1024*768 all High, HDR & 4x FSAA...

Lowering the settings, softens the effect but it is allways there and I just can't take that...

It doesn't have to be overheating. It could be bad drivers, etc. Don't jump to that conclusion.

apart from having tried ALL available drivers on the G1s, it sounds exactly like the GPU hitting 95-97 degrees and throttling down

next step is passing that threshold and start literally cutting off for 10 seconds at a time when it hits 110

no - what is the sleep fix?

about GPU temps - yeah I hit 96-97°C! And I have had the notebook for about a month now...
So what can I do to lower the temps?!?

Those drivers are old....try the newer ones at like laptopvideo2go.com. That should help a bit.

175.80 are the best drivers i tested, and trust me, i tested ALL of them.

the pumping problem seems to be intermediate. when its not "pumping", its usually when its running over 100 degrees though.

your best bet is to return it, or cap the frames/second in games which is what i do to be able to play without massive overheating
