morecomputers.com said they were taking delivery today...but i checked back this morning and guess what?

    restock date 12/06/07

lol, either they didnt get any or they sold out instantly

zomp.net have 25+ apparently, but their item description, or lack there of kinda puts me off and they list is as having a 200gb hard disk

nexus13.com is another place to look, they sell lenovo and samsung too

i might just take the plunge here...its tempting. but my head says i must wait to see what the Samsung X65 is like, and also what the new macbook pros are like

why don't you pre-order it first?
usually,if they'd already had the stock.you'll get the first slice of pizza.
    yummy isn't it?

I ordered it two days day before I got it. It wasn't advertised on their site - I rang Asus UK directly and asked them who would get first shipment and they told me asuslaptop. So I called them and they told me they expected first shipment the following day - so I ordered. They spent a day putting in new HDD, then I got it the next day.

    What about the payment options??

Anything like pay a bit now the rest in 2008 or pay monthly. Or is it just all in one go.

I can do all three but i would prefer the monthly

I'm thinking of buying one in the next month or 2 depending on when I get work, think the price will drop a bit?

Not by much. The G1 only dropped about £50 and that was in preparation for the G1s coming out.

Are they a reliable reseller? Nexus is not shown in ASUS main website as the official reseller. I don't know what's the impact on notebook buying from non-authorized reseller but a friend of mine had an issue buying LCD TV from a non-Sony authorized distributor and he had a hell of time getting warranty work.

Nexus13 are one of the longest serving Asus resellers in the UK, asuslaptops are also one of the top resellers in the UK as are laptopsdirect.
All three of the resellers mentioned in this thread are very reputable, I know this cause I'm in distribution and know all these guys personally.

For Nexus13, are they authorized distributor of Asus laptops?

For "asuslaptops", you meant asuslaptop.co.uk, right?

Did you order it? How was the experience?

I emailed them twice and received no response. I call them and the number is busy twice. Seems like a very unreliable reseller to me, especially if the laptop is broken in the first 2 weeks.
