I'm planning on buying this 2gb stick from frys.... I'm actively playing the World in Conflict multiplayer beta. Fantastic game. Best yet, there's a benchmark utility built into the graphics settings options. I'll try and right before I install the memory to run that bench, screen it, upload it here, then install the ocz, run same bench, and see what the difference is.
If anyone else is planning on doing something similar, feel free to post in this thread.
P.S. Anyone have any thoughts about that memory? Will it work? Is it the fastest I could use?

From what I can tell on the Asus website it is the fastest memory you can get. It should by all means work looking at the specs. I have some OCZ memory in my desktop and so far they have worked flawlessly so I can definitely recommend that brand
(and that warranty is great, although "lifetime" is actually 10 years i believe)

thanks, I'll prolly buy it tonight. Let the benchmarking begin!

Please do a search. There have been discussions about 2gb to 3gb on the G1S and you may want to read this thread first:

Some folks have had problems with OCZ memory in the G1S. -
I got that same memory stick and it works in my g1s.

now, is there a FPS boost in games like F.E.A.R. , Crysis, ... with 3GB ram????
(Because i want to upgrade to 3 GB ram .... But i will only do it if it helps out my laptop (to play crysis better, with more FPS) -
absolutely. You will notice the jump.

2-->3gb on the C90S did nothing for me that I could notice. It should be similar for the G1S but I guess that turbo cache is the reason the G1S gets the boost.
