    hi Folks,
Can anyone tell me if there is any way to configure the little Direct Messenger display (the little LCD panel over the keyboard) to work with Linux?? I got rid of that Windows vista hog (thank God, Vista absolutely blows) and set up a Ubuntu/Win XP double boot.

Things are looking good, but I cannot find any info anywhere on how I can get this darned thing configured to work, or even what type of device it is.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

I don't think it's working right now. There is an attempt to work out what the device is and how it operates at https://launchpad.net/asusoled/, but there is no usable product from this yet.

Thanks for the info. I appreciate it. I hope we can figure this out. You'd think ASUS would do a bit more to help out with this instead of leaving us stranded in the wilderness.
