I got a g1s-a1 a year or so ago for college with vista home premium on it, I believe and I immediately upgraded it to vista ultimate b/c I got it for free from my university. Also, I set up the computer to dualboot vista and XP. As of late, the XP os has become useless to me and I want to remove it. I have XP on a seperate partition. however, there are some files within this partion that I don't want to lose. How do I go about removing the xp OS to free up space?

    Thanks

Well, I suppose you can move the files that you want to save from the XP partition to the vista partition. Then, just expand your vista partition to include the xp partition.

I moved the files I wanted over and tried to delete the XP files but it wouldn't let me so I just went ahead and reformatted that partition but it won't let me expand any of my partitions for some reason. I tried using the disk tool, and through command prompt.

how about you backup all your files in xp partition and vista partition and delete all the partitions and do a clean vista install?

on a sidenote, damn how come your uni gives you free ultimate copies, our uni just gives us business copies :(
