    I recently purchased this cooler:
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834999850
And so far it has been great. However, I am a bit concerned about the USB/power cable. It doesnt seem long enough to reach from the middle of the left side all the way to the far back right where all 4 USB ports are located. In order to accommodate the poor location of the USB ports and shortness of the cable itself, I have the cable running underneath the cooler. Does anyone have this cooler and perhaps a better set up. I don't really like how the cable is bent nor that it runs right underneath the cooler.

Rotate the cooler around and have the USB cable run from the right side. The fans are in the middle of the unit so it doesn't matter.

lol, I have the same cooler and it took me like 10min to realize that. I was trying to find a way to open and flip the fans so the cooler would be more effective.

While I do not have an ASUS laptop I have this cooler for my T60 - the downside is that because the feet on my T60 are kinda soft there is very little clearance between the cooler and the laptop - therefore the fans kinda get suffocated and the noise increases a little bit. I use little spacers to help give it more air to reduce the noise.

The only downside of flipping it around is that instead of the air coming out the back and to the right (i think it comes out the right) it comes out towards you and to the left... not like that really makes a difference though... hehe....

Targus actually came out recently with a new notebook cooler - not the normal ChillHub that you see in most electronics stores - The fans look bigger and it is a darker grey... perhaps better performance?

gosh, it's great to know i'm not the only g1s user that uses the antec notebook cooler. i have had great experience with my white version for my 360 so i was familiar with having to turn it around. but, yep, that's how u do it.

Well from what I gathered off the reviews of Targus coolers on newegg, the consensus seems to be that they aren't of the best craftsmanship. IE, the fans are poorly constructed and do not last very long. So, you need to replace the cooler anywhere from every couple months to a year. Id prefer a cooler that lasts longer than that and I knew I could find that kinda of quality in Antec. I know first hand the quality of their PSUs.

I use it on a desk, as the side vents would become blocked in my lap. The built in fans come on less often with the cooler on, but then again the cooler makes its own noise.
