    Asus G1S dying a slow death? Win 7 64 RC

    I've had my Asus G1s for a little under 2 years now.

    Used it VERY heavily. It's on almost every day all day.

    I was starting to get some crashes so I did a fresh install of the Win7 64 Bit Release Candidate.

    However, I'm now finding that I'm getting random hanging when using Outlook, or YouTube or just doing stuff. Sometimes it'll happen 20 minutes after turning on the computer, sometimes several hours. There is no clear pattern.

    They only way out of the hang is to physically turn off the computer.

    Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this?

    sounds like its overheating... cause the shutdowns when the temps reach threshold.

    When was the last time you cleaned out the vents and fans (due to clogged dust)?

    visit the NBR Cooling Central... I go over the temps there.
