Hello everyone, I'm sorry if this has been asked before but I couldn't find anything on the forums.

I'm a proud owner of an Asus G1P Notebook but right now I want to upgrade it to the Asus G1S-A1 model, so I'm on the market to find the best price. And to my surprise, I found that Red Barn Computers has a pretty nice deal. But before I commit, I would like to know if someone knows something about this reseller.

I've called them and they seem pretty customer oriented and have taken good care of me answering all questions I threw at them and they sound really professional, but unfortunately they have absolutely no feedback on ResellerRatings.com even though they are in the business since 1996. However they explained to me that they have lots of positive feedback on eBay.

    Any ideas or recommendations?

    Thanks a lot!

    Thanks Rulebreaker!

Sounds interesting, but that would set me back $279 dollars plus tax!

On redbarncomputers.com I can save taxes since they are in NY and I'm in CA.

    Thanks for the suggestion anyways!

    Cheers!

there are plenty of sites out there for example:
    GenTechPC.com $1579.00
    XoticPC.com $1551.03
    Newegg.com $1,499.99
I've learned recently that the .2Ghz isnt worth the extra, and you can always add your own ram

    @rulebreaker:
for some reason i dont think you have an A1, are you sure it isnt an x1?

    Wow.. 1499.99 on Newegg.com?

The best deal so far, even with taxes and 3 day shipping it comes down to $1,625.02 which is great since I don't have to wait that much for it to arrive! :D

    I think I'll go for it! ;)

    Thanks a lot!

    Hmmm...

Any idea when we will know about G1SN? There seems to be no info whatsoever about that... Besides, I'm tight on budget...

    Thanks!

Well, after much wait... (yeah right! LOL) I ended up purchasing the G1S-A1 @ newegg.com on the 18th and Santa just delivered it a few minutes ago!

I think it was the last one they got since they ran out of stock the very same day! LOL

    Thanks everyone for your comments!

I'll post my thoughts about it once I have it up and running!

    Happy holidays!

Sorry for using this old thread, but I didn't want to create another one just to ask the same thing.

Well, looking for some store that ships to my country (Brazil) and have a good price I found Red Barn.

Just wanting to know if someone has any experience with them.

    Thanks in advance ^^

Well, when I was on the market for my G1S, Red Barn Computers was my first option, they treated me very well over the phone and responded all my emails and questions. But in the end, I purchased from Newegg.com only because it was cheaper than RB.

    Good luck!
