Im trying to send some pictures from my asus g1 to my nokia 8800se

the phone doesnt have a memory card so bluetooth is my only option

Ive transferred some files from my old sony ericcson to this phone with no issues but my Asus G1S cannot find any bluetooth devices in range, even with both phones switched on. Clearly, its the laptop with the problem

Have any G1 users had a similar problem?

Assuming all the drivers and programs have been installed correctly, it looks like a software problem, either with the drivers or with Vista or a wrong configuration. I had troubles connecting my cell with my notebook over BT, but after installing the drivers and Samsung BT programs, it finally worked after I connected the two using Samsungs client(I had to make a passcode and all).

Did you uninstall any of ASUS's wireless programs?

I uninstalled a few asus programs but not the wireless one

I went back to the asus site and reinstalled all the wireless drivers but the bluetooth feature still cannot find my phone.

Did you make your bluetooth devices discoverable to others? I know my phone has this option...

the phones bluetooth is fine. I found my old bluetooth dongle and i could send the files no problem. When I removed the dongle I couldnt send any files.

I know I can just use this dongle in future but id still prefer to be able to use the bluetooth that is built into the laptop

thanks for your help anyways guys :)
