    Hi guys,

A few weeks ago the GPU of my Asus G1S broke. Since the notebook was no longer in warranty and because I expected faster service I brought my device to a local computer repair shop. They ordered a new motherboard for my notebook, which after delays due to supply shortage finally arrived some time ago.
Somehow however they can't seem to find the time to actually do the repair. Since the wait is starting to get a little too long now, I am thinking about paying for the new motherboard and the work done so far and doing the replacement myself.

I took a look at the disassembly manual linked to in this post.
Is this a feasible undertaking or will I likely be breaking something for good?

Its not as hard as you think, just be careful taking it apart and put it back the same way. Most stuff only fits in one way around which helps. (My Asus G1S died on me out of warranty and no-where seems to be able to locate a replacement board, but before that time I tried everything I could to get it working again, inlcuding taking it apart and putting it back together)
