Dubai, which I would assume would be the one in the United Arab Emirates, unless there's a place called Dubai, Texas, which if that exists, call me confuzzled.

Just call Asus Dubai and ask them where they sell Asus notebooks in the area.

Yeah... Be careful with getting one. I should've researched more, but the reviews were all so good :/.

The G1S has a lot of overheating issues, and you can only fix it by drilling holes in the case, voiding you warranty, opening it up and changing the cooling paste with some high quality arctic cooling mx2 or arctic silver. And it's recommended you get a notebook cooler too.

For normal purposes it'll run fine though, but for gaming it gets too hot and you get stutters.

I have noticed that there are a lot of issues with g1's and heating as well.

op should look into the m50sv or m50sa before deciding

Not true...while every notebook has different tolerances for heat...I've never had any problems with heat with my G1s.

Your GPU drivers are probably out of date, or maybe your GPU is just bad. I don't know, but you shouldn't have to drill holes into your G1s. That's something a C90s owner might have to do, but not a G1s owner.

Maybe the fair thing to say is that some G1S have heat problems, and some don't... so it may depend on your luck, which of the two types of machines you get.

I think if you search this forum you'll see that a large portion of the posters here do have problems with the G1S.

This applies to the G1S-A1 not any other models (G1, G1Sn, etc).

Care to mention what other devices your using with your notebook? For example cooling pad. Another factor is ambient temp. I hear it's hot in Dubai.

Before you assume that my drivers are out of date, or something of the sort, I am a software engineer so I have some idea what I am talking about.

To the OP: why play the luck game, when you can just get a notebook without these problems.
