There is a rebate as of now for the G1S-B2 for $100 back. http://images10.newegg.com/UploadFilesForNewegg/rebate/SH/ASUS2MIRsDec15Dec3107ez21.pdf

I am very interested in buying this laptop but I do not need it right now. I will buy it within the next 3 months, however. My question is, will pricing of the G1S-B2 decrease enough within the next 3 months to make it cheaper than the $1679 it costs with the $100 rebate now. The rebate expires December 31st so I am debating whether to buy it now with the rebate or wait for a better price. Maybe the rebate will be available again.

    Any information or ideas?

I remember that NCIX had G1S for around 1600 without any rebate.
