I was looking to upgrade the ram in my G1S-X1. Right now it has the stock 2gb ddr2 667mhz. Im looking to install 4gb PC6400 800mhz or higher (two sticks of 2gb). Is this possible? OR is the G1S limited to the 667mhz mark. If upgradeable, Can I go above the 800mhz mark. Please tell me all that you know about upgrading an G1S-X1's ram.

DDR2 667 is the max on a G1S, it's the max speed on the 965. You have to go to the 4 series chipsets (like the G50V) to get DDR2 800. Also the OCZ didn't work for me so don't buy it. I ended up getting Crucial-branded Micron RAM and it worked beautifully.
