So after hobbling around the discussion forum in the Windows OS software due to an insane amount of Blue Screen of Death, and taking some advice there...
I found that the reason why I'm getting the Blue Screen of Death so often was because of bad RAM.

    So I removed it.
Dropped my computer's memory (RAM) to just 2Gigs, but thankfully that was the end of it. However, since I have the sincerest desire to replace my faulty RAM with a new one...

I can't seem to find the right specifications for the RAM that I need to replace.

It says it's a GDDR2-667 2GB 128MX8 1.8V EP on the chip itself, but seeing as there isn't a chip that comes with a G before the DDR2...

Does anyone know what the name of the physical memory chip is for an Asus Notebook G1Sn?

ANY 200 pin DDR2-667 is good.
There is a possibility that the cause of Blue Screen is heat related and memory replacement will not fix the problem. Try to run NB without compartment cover to find the cause (or cooler)

So the memory chip doesn't have to be the same for compatibility issues?

Also - I think I can rule out heat related problems; I usually have a fan cooler connected to my notebook often, cooling the system beneath.

No, memory manufacturer only rarely (C90 comes to mind) relates to stability issues in Asus.

As long as you match the type/freq of the RAM stick already there, you will be fine.
