Okay, so I spilled water on my laptop. Like all over the keyboard area and it went under and I guess it leaked through. Now, I wiped everything and whatever was dripping out I tried to clean. I unscrewed only the small parts like hard drive, ram, graphics card, then it wasn't really wet there, but just a little so I wiped it with my towel. So, I thought overnight it would dry out or w/e. but it won't turn on in the morning. I don't think it's broken because unplugged it showed the little light-bulb/battery light glow and so I think there's still a chance. ATM I'm unscrewing it with my cousin, but we don't know exactly how to take it apart so if anyone has a disassemble guide for Asus G1Sn-X1 or what to do exactly? Thanks... also, my warranty is up so yeah I don't really wanna pay lol...

don't touch it or turn it on for like a week. Make sure no power is attached to the laptop (battery) and take out all the RAM, Hard drive and CPU if you can. Had a cellphone in the washer once and I didn't turn it on for 2 weeks and when I turned it on then it worked. Key thing is to let it dry without turning on the power.

    ^ +1

You cant turn it on so soon. Spilling water never kills it, turning on too soon when it may not have dried off properly does.

Hence, stay away from it for a few days. And of course, Pray! :p

Okay, so I took it apart, blow-dryed it, cleaned it, and everything. Left the battery out for some time and now just turned it on. Plugged or unplugged, it get stuck at the Asus logo. Doesn't even get to the Windows loading screen or anything. Hardware issue or something else? And if anyone know how to fix... thanks.

    Hy Zero,

You may have to check the underneth the CPU. water may still be there. You would need to take competely apart to check. I would not recommend using it until you check. If CPU is dry, it may have shorted out the system.

Don't know why you didn't take our advice. You really shouldn't have turned it on. Probably shorted itself out from that. Key thing was NOT to power it for at least a week. You probably missed drying some parts of the laptop because they're unreachable so its probably still wet. You need to be patient and just wait a week.

However since you have already tried to boot it up a couple times it might already be broken. Maybe look at new laptops...

Waiting a week is like the same thing as sending it to repair... lol. Would it help if I put it in a warmer place in the house like on top or near the heating vent?

You blow dried it? Hmm... I hope that wasn't heated....baaaaad idea, unless controlled with the temperament of a Buddhist monk. And you switched it on prematurely...It's not going to end pretty. Also I don't think the little light that turns on when its unplugged has anything to do whether any of the components that matter will work or not. No point crying over spilt milk....look to buy a new laptop.... o_O

a week would be optimal. But in your case, things look bad already.

    Good luck there, pal!

as mentioned multiple times in this thread ONE WEEK. If you don't take our advice there really is no point in re-asking the question.

Personally, I've never spilled water on my laptop but with my cellphone I waited a week.

If the notebook was ON when the water incident happened, it most probably got some components damaged due to a short circuit. :(

A friend of mine had his digital SLR camera damaged, because it fell into the water and there was battery inside it.
