Hey, since I got my Asus from repair because they had to replace my motherboard I've been getting weird lag while playing World of Warcraft. I'm moving the character let's say 2 steps and then if it's like it becomes 'slow motion' for 2 secs, and then goes back to normal. This happens every like 2 steps and it's annoying. Once, the computer froze for 5 secs and went dark, then the screen showed back on and the lagg stopped. I clicked the windows button to see like what the problem is and at the bottom-right corner where the clock is and everything it said the display driver is not working or something like that. So, I'm guessing the display driver is somehow causing the lagg. It started lagging again soon after though. So, I'm not sure if it was when the display driver stopped working or while it's working that the lagg happens? Maybe, I don't have the right version installed? Anyone have an up-to-date version of the display driver for Asus G1Sn-X1? Or anyone have other ideas why this is happening? I don't think it's a problem with the game itself.

hello,
you can update to the latest driver from laptopvideo2go.com, but I suggest you first try the official nvidia notebook driver, you can download it from nvidia.com under notebook drivers section.
cheers -
The laptopvideo2go.com doesn't seem to include my 9500M GS graphics card driver, but nvidia.com did include the version 179(Beta) for 8M and 9M series so I'm guessing it's mine.

-BUMP- Updating my display driver didn't change anything. It's still the same lagg thing...
EDIT: Never mind this... it actually was the game problem. I put all settings on Low in the game, and start raising each one on high. When I got to the last, Shadow Quality, and set it to high... my FPS became 30. Without it my FPS is 60 with EVERYTHING else on High... Shadow Quality really demands. Takes away 30 FPS and makes you lagg... wow lol. Thanks for help, anyhow... -
downoad rivatuner and monitor your gpu temperature
if it hits 96 degrees, just send it in -

same exact problem on my Asus G1S-B1 (8600m gt). WoW seems to lag visually: it slows down and then speeds up making the game really jerky.
I've tried about 10 different drivers from laptopvideo2go, Nvidia and Asus. Is there a solution to this or this a hardware problem? Anyone experiencing similar issues in World of Warcraft or different games?
thanks -
send it in. i have the B2 aswell and having the same problems on everything i throw at it. those pulsing slowdowns happen with the GPU reaches 97 degrees. mine was underclocked by 30% with all graphics set to minimum in WOW but it didnt make a difference.
the g1s is a massive failure. i'm on my 3rd time sending it in, and it will be going back and forth until they send me something else.
tell them its stuttering in games and/or overheating. once they hear that they dont really suggest anything else other than sending it in since its a VERY widespread problem with the G1s -
thanks for the response. i figured it was a problem...bah did you send it in on warranty? I think mine ran out. Either way I will contact them. -
yes i sent it in 3 times. waiting for to come back as we speak
even if the warranty ran out, call them and try to get them to fix it. -
will do, thanks.

Please excuse me to revive that old thread but I have the same exact problem : weird skipping lag every 2-3 second after playing a game for about 10 mins. I already sent my notebook for similar probs and they changed the gpu for a 9500m gs.
Oh and after about 20 mins playing my temps is 97 degree....
I really, REALLY dont want to call them again, after a gpu prob, a recovery dvd prob, and a HD prob.
Any idea? -
i also get a weird lag, when i take screenshots

how is the 9500m gs treating you?
