I decided since I'm already posting another problem - I'll post this problem too. I've followed all the guides to try to turn off the god awful explosion sound at boot on the Asus g1s and it won't work. After I enable the quiet mode all that happens is the orignal owl eye boot screen is gone and instead theres a list of text about booting and the sound still goes off. I tried the newest bios update and it still doesn't work. Anyone know whats going on?

Quiet boot is something else, it means that you don't get all the POST messages log.

To turn off the sound, enter BIOS (F2) and Disable "Play POST sound" option.
