    hey
i bought my laptop 17/03/2008 and it has a to year warranty (denmark, europe).
but 3 days ago my computer screen did not start, no response. the screen was totally black. but cd/dvd thing worked, and there was light on the screen on the keyboard. and they harddrive was active. bu screen=totally black. a hardware thing i think, after reading many post about the same problem on the same computer

so what i did was to do that rma thing where i bought my computer. they took it and now i am waiting. (today)

    the problem
one day a year ago or something i was trying to find the place to install extra ram, so i opened the lid where the cpu and heatsink are. but i did not touch any thing. but their was a little yellow label: "warranty void if broken or removed". it was halfbroken and it seemed very very fragile. i am scared that ASUS wont repear the laptop :(

what do you thing, will they repear it.

It is usually up to the technician to decide if the sticker being broken voids the warranty on it. I would expect that they will go ahead and fix it.

According to some of the other people who have sent in there g1s for repair, they got g50vt as replacements (after a $250 USD charge). The parts are out of stock for what is needed to be replaced. The video cards where defective in these laptops and if they replace it with another defective card the laptop will fall...more than likely after the 90 day warranty lapse.
