    hey im getting ready to order tonight got everything settled now. I will be ordering the Asus G1S, but i need to know cause i will be bringing this to class every day. If i take notes, use word, powerpoint, web browsing, will it be loud with the fan on and everything? I dont mind if it makes a noise when im gaming it will be in my dormroom.

    BTW im upgrading to a 7200rpm HD

    When just cruising the internet or typing in word or something, the fan is not running on high and therefore does not make any noise at all. you can hear it though when gaming, but you said thats not a problem. you probably will want to turn off the flashing green lights however if you take it to class, prof's might get mad as it could be distracting.
