Yesterday night when I restarted my system(Asus G1S), it gave me an error message saying that Windows Vista key is invalid and you need to enter a valid key to login into windows.
Anyhow to cut a long story short, today I tried to reinstall Windows Vista using the given Recovery DVD. Note that i have done a recovery when i got the laptop a month ago.
Anyhow after asking for the option where it ask to recover to which partition, and I gave the first partition it gives an error saying 'Cannot load imagex 0 from src WIM file'. Now i tried all other options like recover to one partition , clean the dvd (no visible scratch) and even write the recovery dvd to another one which it did successfully proving that there is nothing wrong with the disk media but it still gives that error. Anybody can help me out here??![]()

Did you try re-installing windows from the recovery partition. To access it, hit F8 when first booting. Then it should be pretty clear.

I had deleted the recovery partition when i had got the laptop itself. Didnt think would need that as I have the recovery dvd..
