Hi All,
I just received my Asus G1s-A1 in the mail yesterday and I love it. It is replacing my C90s that the motherboard died after about 12hrs. I was in a little of a jam and Velocity Micro who I purchased it from said they would not be able to get another one out to me for a couple of weeks. Well I have to leave town tomorrow for work driving to CA from the east coast, so I looked at my options buy a laptop from Circuit City or Best Buy at the store. The prices were crazy for the junk they were giving you. Then after searching around on the Forums here I called Ron at Powernotebooks.com and he suggested the G1s-A1 he had it in stock and sent it out within an hour or so of talking to him it was overnighted and I received it Yesterday morning!! Ron also gave me information on how to change the OS to XP from vista which went without a hitch!! I am very impressed with their service and all they did to help me out!

Did PNB just start offering G1S? I wish PNB was offering G1s earlier.
I returned my 2090 two weeks ago and PNB was not offering Asus G1s at the time. I woulda loved to give them my business and done an exchange instead. Gentech is great too, but PNB was so great to me throughout my purchase and return process for the 2090....they definitely have me for the next laptop purchase.
P.S. Ron and Kenny at PNB are probably the best customer reps I've dealt with in Notebook industry. -
Congratz for your purchase, and I hope you will make your entry in the happy g1s owner circle
(It's realy an awesome machine, and it is even better when putted on a nb cooler while gaming.)
Have fun with your new notebook -
Yeah I really am very happy with it. the people over at PNB are really great.
I am still trying to figure out the best setup with G1s as of right now I am only getting 3890 on my 3DMark06 scores which is better then the C90s but I would like to get at least 4000.
Did any one here disable C1E and SpeedStep from the BIOS ? because I was watching how much the processor speed drops when somewhat inactive. -
3dmark06 will never leave your CPU "somewhat" inactive
