The A1 and A4 are identical in specs except for the screen, A1 has a WUXGA 1920x1200, but the A4 has WXGA+ 1440x900.

On the other hand the G2P is the old version of the G2S, the G2S has the Santa Rosa chipset which was released back in May. The CPU is the G2S has a higher FSB (800mhz) where as the G2P only have a 667mhz FSB meaning the G2S will be faster.

Also the G2S have Nividia 8600mGT ddr3 where as the G2P has the ATi Mobility Radeon X1700 (memory size doesnt make a big difference so no need to worry about the 512mb v 256mb). The 8600 is better than the X1700 by quite a margin.

So basically this leaves you with either the G2S-A1 or the G2S-A4.

Directly forget G2P and G2S :D I think you should buy G1S. I used lots of laptops but I have never seen a laptop like it. (not special models of Alienware, I'm talking about laptops which are directly coming from factory) When you touch it, everything starts to change, believe me :) I researched it nearly 2-3 months then I went to look G1S-X1 at Best Buy.When I saw it, absolutly I was thinking that it should be mine.

I bought it from TechPalooza.com, it has been confirmed and shipped at the same day and I used their free shipping (Fedex Ground! :! ) and it came in 5 business day (with the weekend 7 days :p)

I'm very happy now ,and after that I'm the one of the proud owner of G1S-A1 :)

I think this is different. I'm from Europe but now I'm in Chicago. In my country, Asus g2s-a1 has 4200 rpm and 200 GB but I looked at the review of g2s-a1 it seems 160 gb with 5200 rpm.

    Sorry :))

Thank you every one for the reply :)

Whats the differance between WUXGA and WXGA+ appart from the resolution.

My main purpose is playing games and doing some shader progamming! ;)
but...I still dont understand one thing, being such a fantasic notebook, why this isnt under popular section.
