Hello everybody! This is my first thread ever :). I am having a problem with my fairly new Asus G2SG. The problem is that, i just recently overclocked my graphic card using RivaTuner setting it to 710/1700/801 and when i start the game everything seems to be ok until after i load the first map. When it does load and i click any button it just freezes completely. I dunno what the problem is and im desperate need of aid. Im currently using Windows XP 32-bit Professional SP2.

The specifications are the following -

    17" WXGA 1680x1050
    GeForce 8700M GT 512MB GDDR3 174.32 drivers.
    Penryn T9300 2.5GHz 6MB 800FSB
    4GB DDR2 667
    300GB 4200rpm SATA

And you could run the game fine just up untill you overclocked your gpu?
What happens when you set your card to the default clocks and try to run the game?
What happens when you try to run games aside from crysis?

Same thing. I put the card to the default clocks and the same thing happens. It just freezes completely and the only thing left to do is shut it down forcefully. It seems to be just this game since I ran Call Of Duty 4 without any problems while the card was overclocked.

First and foremost update crysis to the latest version. I bellieve it's 1.2.
Try changing the graphic settings and running the game in both DX9 and DX10 modes.
Failing that try another graphic driver from laptopvideo2go.com and be sure to download the modded inf. file too. If you need a guide on how to update you drivers read this:
