Its in the BIOS. You can disable the splash screen. Just take a peek I remember seeing every time I went into it... somewhere in startup options.

It is displayed so you don't see the post screen so unless you really want to see your post screen everytime I'd suggest just leaving it.

The POST analyzes for hardware errors and what-not. If something is wrong, it will make a beeping sound that is code for a specific problem. You don't really need to see it.

What I want to know is, how do you get rid of it if you have an OLED screen.

It's the default display "Republic of Gamers" with the Logo. And it doesn't seem like you can get rid of it until you get Direct Console to work. It's just pointless and I would rather see a blank screen there instead. Does anyone know how to remove it?

You need to enter the bios (hit F1 or F2 during bootup...I forget which)...under the fifth tab over in the bios, you will find the Boot Settings....enter the "Boot Settings Configuration" and select "Disable"....then select "Save and exit"...this will just show the typical post settings during boot instead of the splash. Hope that helps.

You can disable one of the usb controllers (I think it's 293a or 293c), in device manager> universal serial bus controllers. I have done it with XP but not sure if it works with Vista or 7

See the other thread where you posted about this, I suggested LCDHype.

It is best to keep your requests on a given topic in a single thread, otherwise it becomes confusing for the people who are trying to help you.
