I have had a problem with my fan making a grinding noise. There does not seem to be a heat issue CPU 30-34c idle 46 for gaming and videos. I have taken it out and cleaned it (took out the entire fan and emptied compressed air into the vents and blades) it but that did not stop the noise.

I went to the Asus website and found this.

    G50V-1A CPU Thermal Module Assembly

I am not sure if it works with the g50 vt though. I emailed Asus and they did not reply for over a month. When they did they just said they were waiting for HQ to verify the part is ready for order. That was over a month ago and no response since then.

Basically I am wondering if the fan above will work? and if not is their another place to find a replacement fan? I have not had luck on ebay.

    bump.

bought a fan off of ebay. It is not the same model though (g50 vm x1). Does anyone know if it will work or was it 25 bucks wasted?
