I upgraded my G50 Vt-X6 to windows 7 and I am interested in making my OLED and the buttons work. I think I need some drivers, but on the Asus site I don't know which ones to download. Any help is appreciated.

I have the exact same laptop. Did you upgrade it using the retail disc or the one given by ASUS? What other problems do you have? Just wondering because I am getting the retail upgrade next week and not sure if I should open it or not. Also, how did you install it? Did you reformat everything to Vista first or could you do a clean install with the upgrade version?

For your solution, have you tried installing the drivers disc? The one that came with the laptop.

I used to have that laptop. I am feeling nostalgic.

Thanks inchyfingers that video had mostly what I needed. For others that have the X6 i would recommend looking around on the Asus Support site, looks like most of the Vista drivers work with windows, but some don't.

And inchyfingers I bought a retail copy of W7 and did a clean install.

I don't know why it's taking Best Buy so long to freaking ship my W7 upgrade. It's good to know that I can do a clean install and some drivers work.
ImaginaryPixel, what drivers are you missing and which ones don't work?

Well the volume and brightness all work, but they aren't the pretty transparent images that appear in the middle of your screen. I actually prefer this since now they appear in the upper right corner instead of smack in the screen. I also can't find the Wifi and Bluetooth driver ( the one that would pop up and you could select Wifi or BT or both or none) Although I can still control the wifi and BT. I have yet to try my camera. I will do that probably tomorrow.

-Did you download every driver in the website?
-Does the touchpad on/off work including the blue light from using the touch sensitive shortcuts?
-How did you control the wifi and bluetooth?

Let me know when you find the drivers. Thanks
