Hello im from the uk and recently just got my asus g50 x1 shipped over from the US and the first time i powered it up the screen just stayed black like it had a no signal problem

Right now sometimes it comes on and sometimes it dont so i have to end up turning it off then on again. It also does this is i leave my laptop on and close it so its on standby. Has anyone else had this problem and is there a way to fix it?

Its abit of a pain because i just end up powering my laptop up using the windows media center button so if the screen dont come on then i just turn the laptop off and on again and then it works.
The actually screen backlight lights up but the screen just stays black which looks like a signal problem like what you get on desktop pcs when no signal message pops up on the screen
