So the only touch button working on my laptop right now is the little running man. I cannot bring up the direct console to turn off the side lights on the laptop, or change the text on the blue LED marqee. Could this possibly be because I installed the beta ATK OSD and Hotkey programs? If so, where can I get those back? I looked on the Asus site and can't find the non-beta versions. Thanks so much for the help!!

I think you need a program for them to work, and its on the Asus driver & utility disc that came with your laptop.

    Hope that helps

I'm on XP so they don't work at all ever, but on Vista I think you need direct console 2, atkosd2, and all the atk drivers installed... do you have missing drivers in device manager? All that stuff is on the Driver & Utility disc.

Is there a shortcut key to them? If so I'm not really going to worry about it.

The only way to control the lights and for the buttons to work is to have all that stuff I just listed installed from the CD that came with the G50V, there is no other way like function keys. You said you had a beta so uninstall it and reinstall off the drivers CD.
