    That pages shows all the hard drives configurations that can be set up for this computer. the A1 comes with 2 250gig 7200rpm drives

    What the spec listing means (and always has) is that the Asus corporate units (i.e. North America) can order their products for distribution with any of those listed manufacturing options.

    What is actually available for purchase in your area is totally dependent on what configuration your regional Asus corporate unit decides to import from Taiwan, and each region makes their own decisions in that regard. The spec sheet is not intended to be a listing of what Asus will offer for sale in every region, unfortunately.

    I am actually only interested in the drive, not the laptop. I wonder if the drive is already available in the US or if not, whether it is available anywhere else. I am very interested to see the benchmark.
