I have just recently purchased a G50VT laptop from Newegg, everything is working fine except there is a problem when I play WoW.

Sometime the FPS would be fine but sometimes my FPS would drop to 10-15 and everything seems very laggy. I don't know if it's the driver's problem? ( Im using 179.14 Forceware) Or is it hardware's problem.

Today, my fps in WoW hasnt gone over 50 yet, and it usually stays at 90-100.

    Any suggestions?

Make sure that your power management settings in vista is set to high performance. When mine is set to anything other than that I lose about 50-60 FPS in CSS

Ok i found out what the problem is, and yes I set it to High Performance. Apparently it was because my battery was not attached right or something? because I took the battery out, hit the power button, then put the battery back on and turned on laptop now it works fine. YOu should get about 90-100 FPS in WoW , 50-70 in city crowded with people.

Maybe it has something to do with when I hit the power button, the lights lights up but the screen is black like described here: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=338954

Vista sometimes gets confused with the status of the battery being present. But I have been gaming without my battery on max performance and Crysis (high) and CSS (all maxed) run great!
