I encountered a "Whitelist" issue with my nc8230 where it only let HP branded wifi cards to be installed.

Does the G50VT have a whitelist too? When I get mine I want to go and get an Intel 5300 WiFi ABGN card off of ebay and do not want to spend money and wait forever just so that it does not work.

    Please and thanks,

AFAIK, none of the Asus notebooks have this "whitelist" issue and any mini PCI-E wifi card will work.
