Hi! I have been researching this model and only found it on this website: http://www.btotech.com/_e/15_4_Laptops/product/Asus_G50Vt-X9/Asus_G50Vt_X9.htm. It has a 9 cell battery, which is something I really want since I use my notebook when I'm traveling. I can't seem to find any more information on this notebook. Does anyone have any information so that I can be sure its a perfect notebook? All the specs look good and whatnot so some more technical advise would help.

bb models have only 1yr warranty, low res lcd, no spare hd caddy, low cpu, other then that they are definitely a good deal.
To the OP, what did you want to know?

I signed up for the pre-order on btotech.com. the warranty for the G50VT-X9 is much better than the BB model. The specs are much better as well and I can extend my warranty with BtoTech. Thank you!

We do have ssd as an option though i am pushing for standard 128gb ssd to replace the single 320gb 7200 that is there.

probably not, samsung expensive. all mlc drives work the same for the most part. there is really no diff from one to another in terms of performance. I ve tested transcend, to g-skill to ocz and they all come very close in pcmark and hdtune.

What are the main gains on the SSD vs a 320gb 7,200 rpm?
    Battery life? How much?
    Speed?

And running on VISTA HP 64bits, how much of the 128gb will be free with the OS installed?

on average ssd will offer double the read and write speed over 7200rpm
it does not improve batt life noticeably
after vista you will have about 96gb free space
