    Hi Everyone,

I got the Asus G50Vt-X1 from BB a week ago. Every time I shutdown the computer it goes into the "Installing Updates 2 of 3" and on start-up it goes into "Installing Updates 3 of 3."

Anyone know how to fix this?

    Thanks.

    Crashy

I got the X1 about 4 days ago and all updates went fine. I'll wait and see if it happens to mine but I'm thinking it's a glitch in the Asus update conflicting with windows update. Maybe try disabling Asus update and see if that fixes the problem.

Note, this has been asked before and if it's a constant loop like in Howards post then you may need to do a system restore.

Do a manual windows update and install all the updates it selects.

I think that it is only managing to download a few at a time and it installs these when you shut down. By doing it manually it will do them all in one big batch and should stop it until the next update release (usually every Tuesday)
