Hi guys...I really hope someone can help me with the very irritating Bluetooth issue I have been having.

I recently received a replacement laptop from Asus, a G50vt-x1, for my busted G1s-A1. I was told over the phone that they would be installing a Bluetooth module before they sent it out to me.

When I initially booted up the laptop everything was great, Bluetooth was in the system tray and in the device manager so I figured everything would work. Well I couldn't access the Bluetooth settings (the window wouldn't open), I couldn't even see any other Bluetooth devices that we're discoverable (mainly my Microsoft keyboard) and after a few min the Bluetooth icon would disappear from my system tray and the only way I could get it back would be to restart.

Well I solved the problems above...sort of (By starting the Bluetooth Support Service). The icon no longer disappears, I can open the Bluetooth settings and I can see other Bluetooth devices. However, I am still unable to connect to my keyboard. I can see the device in the pairing window, but it "times out" trying to connect to it.

I am able to connect a blackberry pearl to the laptop with no problem, and I can connect the keyboard to an iMac with bluetooth instantly.

The Bluetooth Module is a BT-253 and I have the latest drivers installed, fresh batteries in the keyboard and gone through numerious restarts, and reinstalls of drivers and software and I still can't get the damn thing to connect. I just don't understand why I can SEE the keyboard, but it won't connect...

Thanks for any help in advance!!!

    -Ryan

P.S. Any have any ideas on how to silence this annoying buzz in my headphones???

Can't really say about the Bluetooth. Only thing that comes to mind is if you have the wireless console set-up correctly and have bluetooth turned on via the console. Not sure it this will help but it's the only idea I have.

For the headphone, do not use any of the USB ports near the headphone jack. For some reason the USB ports make/give feedback on the headphones. Try using the port on the back of the computer or the left side.

    Hope this helps
