High I'm wondering how to run the external monitor at 1080p after i connected the hdmi to my laptop? How do I make external monitor run at a higher resolution than my laptop screen thanks! I have a 1080p lcd tv that i'm trying to connect to .

If your already seeing a picture on the screen simply close the display (or set in the nvidia control panel to only show on the external). The native res of the display should automatically switch.

If not in Vista right click on the desktop, Properties, Display Settings and then drag the slider for the res up. It is possible to run the external at a higher res with the screen on or open but i do not believe this is possible in mirrored only an extended setup. I always close the screen to gain quick access to the native res on the external.
