Hello I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to disable the on screen display used whenever the hotkeys are pressed, whenever the wireless is turned on and off, and whenever the battery is plugged in and out.

The problem I'm having with it is that everytime I run a full screen game and once I get past the menus (into the actual gameplay) I see the windows cursor arrow over the game. Whenever I click to shoot in a fps the game minimizes and the OSD displays it's in AC mode. The only time it does this is when the laptop isn't fully charged when plugged in or when it isn't plugged in at all. The only way to play a game while plugged in is to wait until the laptop is fully charged.

I was wondering if it's a good idea to uninstall ATKOSD since I'm assuming that's what causes the on screen display to appear. I don't want to lose my hotkeys though due to a lack of a volume button on the laptop.

Also I might just want to throw this in there but If I contact ASUS would they be able to supply me a new windows product key. My computer has been running off the factory product key and is now saying my copy of windows is ungenuine. The sticker on the bottom of the laptop is unreadable and it hasn't been used so magical jelly bean keyfinder can only find the manufacturer's product key. I'd talk to microsoft but they seem to be charging anyone who doesn't have a product key $60 for technical support

    Anyway thanks for your time.

If I remember correctly, ATKOSD is in fact the on screen display. ATKHotkey or ATK General Function, or something of the sort, is the actual hotkeys themselves.

I uninstalled ATKOSD2, but not ATKOSD. 2 has the ripples that interrupt your screen, but the default one is just a message in the upper left corner. Much less intrusive.
