Hey, guys this is my first post with a request for help. I recently had my asus g1s die on and had to send it in for repairs and instead got the asus g50vt-x1 that they offered me. I just got it 12 hours ago which is great, but for some reason I just cannot connect to the wireless internet(I mean I can't see any available wireless connections). I tried the f2+fn but that didn't help and I let a friend and my bro try to get it to work but they don't seem to know how to get it to work either. Please help and thanks :)

Hows the gateway end of your setup? Is your router and modem up and running? Can you verify with another computer?

I'm not sure what you mean by gateway end of the setup, but the modem is working fine since my bro and my friend have theirs connected to wireless.

There is probably a physical switch on the laptop that toggles wireless on and off.

    Check it

I am having the same problme with my G50VT-X5.

The physical switchs just says WLAN OFF no matter which way I push it and the Fn+F2 does the same.

I downloaded and installed mine off of Intel's site.

I fixed it somehow, do not know how but it did not involve restarting. I am ordering a Intel WiFi Link 5300AGN later today.

Thanks for the help there shinsengumi!
