    Asus G51 in Canada?

    Has anyone seen the G51 for sale in Canada? I haven't had any luck finding it yet.

    Because only Best Buy USA sell them right now.

    Ahaha I sent an email to a store in Quebec, Dumoulin Électronique, about the G51 and this is what i got from them:

    D’après nos fournisseurs, le G51 a été remplacer par le G50VT-X8-BIL @ $1,598.88. Le G50VT-X4-BIL n’est plus disponible. N’hésitez pas à me contacter si vous avez d’autres questions. Merci et bonne journée.

    SUmmary in english:
    According to our distributors, the G51 have been replaced by the G50VT-X8.

    From my experience, the "gaming" notebooks at BB Canada section really sucks. Don't hold your breath. BB USA and BB Canada operate differently for stock in a lot of things.

    Ok, I thought my french is getting rusty there.. So they did, in fact, claim that "the G51 is replaced by G50VT-X8" eh? Hilarious.

    Yup, just like how we only had 1 shipment of Gateway P-6831 FX's.

    Actually FutureShop and Best Buy Canada sucks. We will probably never get the BB version of the G51.

    Anybody knows where to find the G50VT-X_ version. I can only find the A or B which are 1900$ CND + or the Newegg Ca X6 for 1580$?

    I got my G50Vt from the US, but it was definitely worth it. We're probably never going to see the X versions sold directly in Canada so if you want a deal you have to cross the border. If you're truly interested in the X series and under a budge I might consider selling mine since I might be switching to desktop for a short period.
