    Asus G51 video playback freeze

    Hi all

    Whenever i play videos on any player VLC, media player my video plays smooth for sme time than after every few minutes it freeze for like 2 or 3 seconds.

    Could it be cause of updating my pc with windows update?

    i have service pack 2 vista 64

    Check your power 4 gear mode. If it is set for battery save it down clocks the cpu. Also if your drive is close to capacity you may need to move or delete some of your larger files.

    It happened to me as well, and I found out that my HDD has bad sectors. After marking them and defragmenting, things got fine but still not 100% OK.
