Hi all, I bought a G51JX-A1 the other day and I just noticed the motherboard version is G60. Can anyone help me understand what the differences are between this and the original G51 board?

The G60 is the internal codename for the G51...
They are all Asus G60s at the factory.

Yep - the G60J was the motherboard of the G51J, and the G60JX is the motherboard of the G51JX. There can be minor differences on the boards (such as number of RAM slots, possible chipset changes which may only allow non-quad core processors on the G60 models for example) but the boards are mostly the same - just the cases and the screen are different.
