I don't get the option to obtain Vista Service Pack 2 through the Windows Update program. Has anyone else had this issue? Is there a fix?

If not, is it advisable to download and install this manually?

Also, is Vista Service Pack 2 necessary before upgrading to Windows 7 when Asus sends the upgrade discs out?

I never use Windows Update and I've never had a problem doing it manually. I wouldn't think you'd need SP2 to upgrade, but I'm not expert.

Thanks ZaZ. I'll probably go about the manual update if it is required for the Windows 7 upgrade as SP1 with all recommended updates seems solid for now. I just don't get why the Service Pack 2 option doesn't present itself via Windows Update...

If anyone has any information that they could add, I would really appreciate it!
